The
Tennessee Ravens are a 17-year-old summer league baseball team
with
their home field located in Franklin, Tennessee. The Ravens became
a team in the Mid 90's and have won numerous state and local championships
since that time, culminating in winning back-to-back CABA World Championships
in both 2002 and 2003. Including AABC State Champs in 2004.
All
of our players have played organized baseball for most of their lives,
and are currently playing for various high school teams in the Franklin,
Brentwood, and Nashville, Tennessee area. We are striving for an even
better Ravens team in 2005.
Our
coaches are Mark Smith and Barry Wright. Mark has been involved with
baseball for many years in the Nashville area. He played high school
baseball at David Lipscomb and College baseball at MTSU. He was later
drafted by the Atlanta Braves organization. Barry Wright played high
school baseball at Dupont and College baseball at Belmont University,
and was later a catcher for the Oakland Athletics organization.
The
Ravens play their home games at the beautiful Smith Field. They have
upheld a tradition of playing high-quality baseball for many years.
